Book Backlog

I just got a shipping confirmation for my copy of Patrick Wyman's second book, Lost Worlds (link) has finally shipped. I had almost forgotten about my pre-order, because I made it more than half-a-year ago.

Also, I have been absolutely terrible about not reading on a regular basis since the pandemic ended. I had over a dozen books I'd collected without actually reading, and being stuck indoors for the better part of a year finally — for wont of a better term — 'forced' me into fixing that.

Well, it's been several years and I fell right back into bad habits. I really need to address this, especially because I am finding myself much busier at work, so I'm not even reading as many longform articles these days.

Current plans are to at least try and get through one decent-sized book per month, and write a short review on this site. This feels doable, except in the case of Guns, Germs and Steel, but maybe I will surprise myself...
