Speaking Of The Devil

Shortly after posting my exasperation with the continued existence of Six Feet Under, I got notified that the band will be coming through town in the summer. They're touring with Kataklysm, who I like — and have seen 3 times in the last 5 years. Still, that's not enough to convince me to spend actual hard-earned money to hear Chris Barnes' vocals live.

At some point, I think I need to do a deep-dive article on Barnes and his contributions (good and bad) to the genre of death metal. I don't hate the guy personally, but his decision to release so much spectacularly bad music — over a period of decades — vexes me greatly.
