Brief History

I first came online in the mid-90′s. An ignorant kid with a GeoCities website, I honed my web design talents building pro-wrestling news sites, and eventually creating a moderately popular Blizzard fan site called Opinion Nation. I’ve run over a dozen small, unremarked websites, all long-since faded from anyone’s memory.

Following my departure from the Bla Bla media network, I registered ricketyshack.org as an homage to Rickety Old Shack productions — a fictional company, to which I have attributed every parody work I’ve ever written. This was some time in 1999; from that point forward, The Rickety Old Shack has been host to whatever I’ve felt like posting. I’ve written for other sites, like White Trash Devil (R.I.P.) and Global Domination, though this place has always been my home.

A combination of college and real-life “issues” kept me from updating “The Shack” between 2006 and 2011, but throughout that time off I always lamented the lack of attention I paid my website. I’m no one special; I write about Magic, MMA, music, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I’ve never had a big — or vocal — readership, but I do appreciate any and all feedback I receive.
