Haha, yeah, I took a lot of annoying bounce spells. I am a huge fan of blue bounce over removal, since a lot of the time it's just as good if you can swing the game in your favour or just need to get one last swing in.

I'll admit, I saw enough people blabbering about how good Aetherize looked on paper, and had to try the Kool-Aid. (Note: it was delicious.)

Either way, at least we didn't get caught in the battle for all the Orzhov cards.

I too was given the advantage of being the only Gruul drafter at the table. My loss to you in round one was the only one, though you made off like a bandit on your win packs. :)

My only other loss was due to mis-reading Mugging. What in Ball Lightnings left Fork is that doing being a sorcery!?

I'd also like to point out the THREE lethal alpha strikes I made against you... Darned U/B mage! :)

One of my highlights was the game I managed to get out an Experiment One out on turn one, then Evolved him three turns in a row...

I likes my shiny... Precious... My Precious Maze...

Certainly were a lot of "obvious" better choices they could have made - like you I'm happy enough with it, but would it have killed them to print a foil Command Tower? Reliquary tower even might have been a nice addition. Tolaria West?

Yeah, I really want to try it again. It seems like the aggro side of the cube was well represented; I want to make sure I didn't nerf blue too much.

Yeah, you see entire decks in packs at times. It's also pretty hard to have a "bad" pack; maybe off-colour or theme, but there's almost always something worth taking.

Fucking awesome man! Can't wait to try it out at the cottage. I think the part that excites me the most is the interaction between older and newer cards that you need to consider while drafting them. Nice recap too! :)

I'll admit, the list I based this off was a really fun trip down memory lane. Mr. Usman has been very helpful; I'd encourage reading his Cube articles if the format appeals. He does good work on StarCity Games and his own website; I link it on the side, "I'd Rather Be Cubing".
