Album Of The Day (February 8th-12th)
Each week day (holidays excluded), I post an album to my Twitter feed. There is usually some sort of vague theme to the chosen titles, although not always. The only requirement for selections is that they have to be at least 10 years old.
- Pissing Razors, Where We Come From (2001)
- Ram-Zet, Escape (2001)
- Electric Wizard, Witchcult Today (2006)
- Backyard Babies, Making Enemies Is Good (2001)
- Zyklon, World Ov Worms (2001)
This week featured a few technical issues (read: I forgot) on my part, as I neglected to post the Electric Wizard album on the correct day, and totally forgot the Zyklon album. I ended up listening to the latter for a whole week, in my stereo system — it's still one of the heaviest records I own.
I want to do a deep-dive article on Zyklon, but I'm worried about becoming even less enthused about some of my favourite black metal artists. We'll see; I may do it anyway, and see where the path leads me. A lack of time, more than anything else, might keep me from this. Either way, I want to get physical copies of the other albums they put out.
This week's theme was very esoteric and personal, a collage of albums reminding me of old Internet associates from back in the dinosaur days.
