Words and things, mostly words.
I’m not feeling any real sense of anticipation for UFC 228, and it’s a little sad since the main event is actually a very good fight. I’ll be putting up a Pre-Fight Thoughts column over at The Shack on this one, so I won’t say anything else about that fight right now. Right now I’m waiting to be certain that Darren Till survives his weight cut and remains in condition to actually fight.
The women’s flyweight title fight does nothing for me. I’ll be giving it the Post-Fight Thoughts treatment, since it is a UFC title fight, but I don’t have a vested interest in either Nicco Montano or Valentina Shevchenko. While I hope to proven wrong, I think it’s extremely likely this is a low-action momentum killer on the fight card.
I will likely be doing a Fight Notes for this event, as I continue to tweak the format.
